One tenet of the castle revitalization process is that the contemporary designs of the architectural and interior elements required by the fresh contents should be set apart from the historical presentation in such a way as not to weaken the castle’s power to bear witness to its past Both aspects cooperate among themselves creating a specific non-conventional space.
The vaults on the ground floor were demolished during the prison period, only the imposts were left; therefore, the motif of the original vaults was used to create a new (acoustic) lamellated ceiling for this hospitality establishment.
Being functional elements, the counter where food from the kitchen is delivered to waiters and the kitchen are in black in order to remain visually in the background.
