The importance of the here presented design is not in its architectural value but in that it employs a principle that may become a factor in the design of sustainable architecture and even more so of sustainable urban design. It is about componibility of autonomous (independently designed) subsystems into coherent compositions, where subsystems retain their functionality but blend with other subsystem that also are autonomous. The whole—more than the sum of its parts—possesses its own consistency on a higher level. The solution is based on a set of particular properties of irrational numbers.
